While the UW women fell short in this year's College World Series, it was nevertheless another banner year for the Dawgs as they ended the season with a Pac-10 championship and an overall record of 50 wins against 9 losses. The Huskies again were powered by All American pitcher and national player of the year Danielle Lawrie who went 40-5 on the season, fired 4 no-hitters, 3 perfect games and struck out 495 opposing batters. Danielle will surely be missed, although with so many returning players, 2011 will surely be another great year for Head Coach Heather Tarr's UW softball program.
